1. DSSVAS – Spreading the light all over India

To serve the people, all the volunteers are encouraged irrespective of region, religion, caste or creed. As the rainfall is indiscriminate so as the Sun and the Moon on the Earth, our reach to people should be like them, without barriers or any kind of limitations. We saw the poor condition of children in Malipur of Sulltanpur District of U.P. and took requisite initiatives with the help of Hanumant Education Centre. The Chief of this Institution, Sri Sridhar Dubey, Principal of Sant Tulsidas P.G. College came together in providing free education to these children. Hanumant Education Centre gave space at their Inter-College and B.Ed. College and this act helped the children of Sultanpur to get then education free of cost. They would start getting free technical education, hostel facility with food, sports activities for children and tailoring skills as well.

2. DSSVAS paid pension to Old Age People

Najafgarh area (New Delhi) 1st, Nov. On 1st November, DSSVAS paid pension to old age poor people of Nangloi. On this occasion, 115 people who were either poor, aged, widowed received Rs. 200/-. This function was headed by Shri Deepak Yadav(Bhagpat,UP) The President of the organization said that DSSVAS has no political ambition. It’s only moto is to serve the poor and needy. DSSVAS has been active in Delhi for the past 13 years. It helps the poor, needy, widows and old age people in giving assistance like pension, employment etc. so as to make them self dependent. In the coming years we are looking for opening public schools so that poor children can get free education, books and uniforms through DSSVAS.

3. Acitivities of June 2012

The details regarding the Activities and Achievements during the month of June 2012 are :

Refreshment distribution programme Eatables that are loved by children like chocolate biscuits, noodles, candies, fruits, pulao etc. are being distributed among 800 children.

Summer Camp Art and Crafts class was organized in which Mr. Surabjeet Badleey imparted the children the knowledge about the importance of arts and crafts and also taught them. Music classes was organized for the kids and Mr. Rahul Pandey, Ms. Radhika and Mr. Vijay Pandey helped the cause. Dance classes was also being organized for the kids with the help of Ms. Rekha, Ms. Palak and Ms. Parul Pandey. Sports classes, Yoga classes and Computer classes were being organized by Mr. Ajay Kumar Saini(BPED) in Haiderpur

Financial help Monetary help were extended to the needy people and programmes were organized regarding :

1. Kidney patient - 1 person
2. Old age pension for a widow lady - 2 persons
3. Help to old age people - 5 persons
4. Monetary help for students - 5 persons
6. Education loans provided - 1 person

Food distribution programme and construction work started for the old age home in Kalika Nagar, Shirdi and funds are being arranged for old age home construction in Kanpur.

4. Acitivities of May 2012

Appended below are the details of Activities and Achievements of May 2012 :

Summer camp A summer camp was organized by DSSVAS at A-40, Balbir Vihar where the following activities took place :-

1. Music Class
2. Yoga Class
3. Art and Craft Class

Refreshment in the form of veg. pulav, chocolates, dalia, biscuits, glucose drink etc. was provided to the participants. Around 800 students of various schools of Delhi were benefited through this summer camp.

Free food distribution
Ishan Seva Sansthan, Lucknow was the centre of free food distribution programme which was conducted for the needy people and the children and many people were benefitted. Our volunteers were very much enthusiastic to make this event happen successfully. Everybody appreciated our efforts and encouraged us to keep up the good work.
